Lip Filler Injection

Are you unsatisfied with the appearance of your lips? Do you want more volume or a fuller appearance? Or maybe you are searching for more defined lips?

Lip filler may be a suitable option for you.

Lip Fillers are gel-like substances that are used to enhance lips by building volume to the skin and underlying tissues. They are most commonly made from Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body.Hyaluronic acid fillers are temporary (although they may last many years) and are reversible with injections of an enzyme called hyaluronidase.

They also draw water intothe lips, this means plumpness, hydration, and softness.

FAQ's

Do Lip Filler injections hurt?

The injections can be slightly painful so always use local anaesthesia and we don’t rush this process.

How old do you have to be to get fillers?

We recommend Dermal Fillers only for Mid 20s and over. We do not offer lip fillers to anyone below the age of 21.

What’s the downtime after Lip Filler injection?

In the first 48 hours post injection, there may be swelling, tenderness and bruising. This is quite normal. You are not able to wear make up for a few hours, and should avoid sun exposure to sunlight and saunas for 14 days.

The results will become apparent after 5-7 days.

Can it be removed?

Yes, the types of Lip Fillers we use are reversible.

What are the risks of Lip Filler Injections?

Immediately post injection, the main serious but thankfully very rare risk, is of vascular occlusion. This is when some filler material blocked a blood vessel.

One of the most common complications from lip filler is overfilling. The strong desire to have lip filler combined with frequent injections or excessive amounts of lip filler has made lip overfilling commonplace.

We will discuss all the risks of Lip Filler with you in depth during your consultation.
