Dermal Fillers are gel-like substances that are used to enhance certain areas of your face by building volume to the skin and underlying tissues. They are most commonly made from Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body. Hyaluronic acid fillers are temporary (although they may last many years) and are reversible with injections of an enzyme called hyaluronidase.
They are injected in small volumes into specific areas to enhance the appearance, reduce the signs of ageing, reduce wrinkles and give a youthful appearance.
They are non-surgical and less invasive form of facelifting, and are used to restore volume loss in the face which is a feature of ageing.
There are a number of areas that can be enhanced with dermal fillers. These include:

There are several types of filler available. At The Aesthetic Doctor, we only use the best, highest quality brands of Hyaluronic Acid fillers. We cannot advertise the names of these. These are fully reversible.
If you would like to reduce the appearance of the ageing process like wrinkles or volume loss, Dermal Fillers may be suitable for you. Treatment is personalised to your skin, facial structure, expectations and budget.
Our aim is to offer you effective, ethical and safe treatments. We will not ‘’sell’’ you more, but approach facial aesthetics as a part of your overall health. We believe if you look healthy and feel confident in your appearance, you will benefit in every other part of your health.
During the initial cosmetic consultation (15 mins) we will spend time getting to know about you, what you would like to improve and your medical history.
We then will make an assessment of your face and the areas you want treated. We will take photographs (with your consent) and discuss the potential treatments, their expected results, the risks and the costs.
We will give you our best opinion, and that might mean we decline to treat you or offer you an alternative better option.
If a treatment is not safe for you or will not give you a better aesthetic outcome, we will always encourage you to reconsider.
The injections themselves can sometimes be uncomfortable initially. We use local anaesthetics to provide comfort before and during the treatment injections.
After the treatment we will give you written and verbal follow up care instructions.
We will also schedule you for a 2 week follow up appointment, to review the treatment and ensure all is as expected.
